On Friday 25th August in Camden, over 30 young Lib Dems from London met up for food, drinks and lively conversation, plus the election of a new LDYS London Chair.

The event started off at the flat of Mark Gettleson (LDYS Federal Chair) and Ben Rawlings (Camden Council). Youth and student members of all ages from 15 to 29 turned up, from many different London boroughs and London universities.

A bit of house business took place, with an interim constitution being adopted, and the election of a new Chair. Stewart Morris (holding the 'trophy' below) took over from Adam Edwards, who has moved into a role on LDYS's national executive.

After the house party, many of the group decamped to the nearby Lord Stanley pub. The event was a great success, and there will be many more like it over the coming months! A full set of photos can be seen on Paul Seery's photo album.

We're coming up to the start of the new academic year, and LDYS London is keen to make a massive impact at this year's Freshers' Fairs.
We are very keen to hear from LDYS members who either want to assist in running stalls between 20th September and 5th October, or who want to form local student branches at their own universities. E-mail your relevant university branch contact or the LDYS London Students Officer for more information.
