Local events in April
Following the success of the North West London zone's film screening in March, and the East London zone's curry night on Brick Lane on April 5th, we have two more local events coming up.
West London are hosting an all-you-can-eat Chinese Buffet in Hammersmith on April 10th, and South East London are hosting drinks in Greenwich on April 11th.
For more information about these events, please contact the relevant local organiser.

Our local events, such as the curry night pictured above, are an informal, low-key, friendly way in which young liberals can meet each other, discuss ideas and simply enjoy each other's company!

Free drinks and canapés at the National Liberal Club
The National Liberal Club is offering London students and young professionals a rare opportunity to visit the Club and enjoy free drinks and canapés.
This unique event is being organised by current students and alumni of the University of London, and promoted by LDYS London.
If you wish to attend, or have any questions, please contact Ben Caldecott ( ) as soon as possible. There are a limited number of places on the guestlist.
Please note the NLC's dress code - jackets and ties for men, and "smart town wear" for women.
The NLC provides a social environment for people from a variety of backgrounds. The Club House, with its grand dining room, beautiful river terrace and well stocked bar, provides all members and their guests with a home away from home when in Central London.
The Club has a range of other facilities available to members that include a reading and writing room, modern business centre with computer facilities, gym membership, access to a worldwide reciprocal club network, rentable function rooms and discounted bedrooms.
The Club's Younger Members are active and organise a number of events with other London Clubs (see the Inter-Club website); these have included a recent Oktoberfest, Masked Ball and Club Crawl.

December update
It's been a busy few months - just see our news section! We've had two very successful embassy events and an excellent Christmas party, and in our spare time, have campaigned to save the planet...
At a local branch and university level, there have been even more events - pizza nights, campaigns on Darfur, curries, speaker meetings, and of course the Freshers' Fairs.
We've got plenty of ideas for 2007 - more embassies, more campaigns, more debates, and more fun. If you have specific suggestions, feel free to get in touch with our social secretary, Chamali Fernando - see here for contact details.

Events coming up in November
On Tuesday 14th November we'll be having an event at the Japanese Embassy. If the Hungarian Embassy event was anything to go by, it should be excellent.
On Saturday 18th November it's the London region conference - a mix of speeches, debates, votes and training in Camden. Anyone wishing to be an LDYS voting representative should contact the LDYS London Chair (see here).
We're also planning a cross-London student event in a central location to welcome all our new members, and meet other London students who are interested in what the Lib Dems have to say. We should have a big-name speaker or two, followed by a party. Watch this space for details!
